Veronica undertook formal art education as a mature student completing her BA (Hons) Fine Art and Masters Degree in 1991. She was an Artist in Residence at Christ’s Hospital, Horsham and taught at both of Portsmouth Grammar Schools. She has also been a visiting lecturer at several colleges.
Her love and interest in animals was always apparent and artistic interest towards an animal theme strengthened even more after having worked for the Agricultural Training Board and a local veterinary practice.
Veronica is presently working in pastels and the focus of her work has continued to be animals. Although most of the subjects she paints are from herds or flocks she is interested in the particular animals that form the groups. Hopefully, inviting the viewer to look again to see more of the individual.
