Tina Morgan

When I first started painting I was particularly inspired by the lovely subdued colours and light effects of contemporary impressionism which has greatly influenced my paintings.

I use colour to express the light and atmosphere of a time and place with tonal greys in the background and vibrant colour on top to create the mood I want.

For me the memory is a far more liberating way to depict a scene than painting on the spot so I tend to produce sketches and spend a long time just taking in a scene which I memorise and take back to the studio.

I have been fortunate over the years to have exhibited in some of the most prestigious London exhibitions. I have been entered into Who’s Who in Art, won many art prizes, and been published in leading art magazines.
