Liz Oxburgh started print-making some years ago and is a member of the Double Elephant Print Workshop in Exeter.
The three techniques she uses most often are drypoint – scratching marks onto a plate; collographs – building layers up onto a plate; and relief printing – cutting into a plate. Often those techniques are used together to create interesting and dynamic pictures that reflect Liz’s interests.
Printing for for Liz is an exploration – she is not so much interested in repetition – but in variation. That means her print editions are very small and each print in the set is different.
